The Central Florida Dreamplex

Hey beautiful people! I am SO excited to share with you my time at The Central Florida Dreamplex so far and what they are all about. The Central Florida Dreamplex is based out of Cleremont, Florida and is for sure now one of my favorite places to visit or volunteer for. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with kind words and huge smiles. You will instantly feel welcomed by all of the beautiful souls that are there for different reasons. Their mission statement is below.

“The Central Florida Dreamplex exists to meet the fitness, recreational, social, and employment needs of individuals and families with physical and/or developmental disabilities. We strive to turn dreams into realities through recreational activities designed to accommodate all participants, adaptive sports, and alternative therapy methods. Our goal is to promote the lifelong health of youth, adults, and veterans with disabilities and their families. Our approach is to partner with and bring together multiple organizations for a larger, common goal of serving families with special needs.”

So many times we think that we are going to be inspiring most of the time but opportunities like this always leave me inspired and filled more than I could ever imagine. When I arrived, their Zumba class was going on and man, let me tell you, they were all working so hard. This amazing Zumba instructor had down syndrome but it did not phase him.

You guys, how many of us wake up and instantly limit ourselves? It’s like we think that whatever has happened to us, something that we have, something that we don’t have and so on controls what we could ever become. That is big ole lie from the devil. You aren’t your diagnosis. You aren’t that girl with the broken heart and you most definitely aren’t what society says about you. Simply taking pictures of these incredible people at Zumba taught me more than they’ll ever know.

Ever since I could remember, sisters and brothers with physical and/or developmental dissabilites have been a huge part of my life. These souls take up a huge part of my heart. I ask that you pray for these extraordinary people and all who commit their time to The Central Florida Dreamplex. If you are able and feel lead to give, praise GOD. They are always in need of volunteers as well!

You can donate here or sponsor a child here.

You say, “I can’t,” but HE can. You say, “I am unable to do that,” HE is so able. Time to let go of excuses and living comfortably. Jesus has so much in store for you, you just have to jump. For GOD has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Sometimes it just takes watching and EXTRAordinary and beautiful soul teaching Zumba to realize that.

xoxo,

Kale

This Zumba class at Central Florida DreamPlex has also blessed me! I left a job of 20 years and found peace and love through volunteering at this Zumba class. I’ve volunteered since early year and during summer had an amazing opportunity to enjoy kids with autism. Today, when I walked into Zumba class, I was approached and given hugs by many in class today and many repeating that they missed me and it’s better when I’m with them. Many of these individuals touched my heart seeing them again and reminded me that a world that judges; man created them with such a perfect heart and God works through them in many special ways. One girl in class today that’s been non verbal in class for 6 months came up to me when I walked by and said my name and tried to have a conversation when seeing me. That was such a blessing and many others came up to me during class with other needs. I’m so glad you got to experience gods love through these amazing special people.
