INFLATION. I know you’re experiencing a rise in costs in your daily life and trust me, I get it, it’s frustrating. I can’t help but think and prepare for the costs to rise more when raising our baby girl who is due in July. With rent rising, groceries rising and every day costs rising, one thing I am sure about is my healthcare. I have a budget-friendly solution to the rising costs of healthcare and that, my friends, is CHM!
Christian Healthcare Ministries is a health cost sharing ministry that uses a unit system. A unit is a participating individual within a membership. A single person is one unit, a married couple is two units (any two individuals must be two units), and a family is three units, regardless of the number of dependent children. Different units may participate in different programs (Gold, Silver, or Bronze). Basically, this means that you will only pay for three units even if you have a larger family! My husband and I appreciate that as we are in the building stages of growing our family!
Here are some reasons why healthcare costs are rising:

- Chronic disease prevalence.
- Rising drug prices.
- Healthcare service costs.
- Administrative costs.”
With all of this in mind, my husband and I wanted to focus on our growing family and our faith so choosing CHM despite a lot of outside inflation going on that we cannot control we know that having stable healthcare with CHM was a must. I am currently on the gold program which includes the maternity care ( members must wait at least 30 days—one month—after joining the ministry before becoming pregnant in order for that pregnancy and delivery to be eligible for sharing.) To have healthcare that is stable and unchanging brings a peace that our finances for something so important in our life will be stable in our lives as we start our family. I highly recommend looking into CHM if you are in need of healthcare that budget-friendly without any tricks. The best we can do is to our best and this is a great first step in curating a healthy and life full of wholeness.
