Our Wedding

Our wedding! I cannot believe I am sharing our dream day right now. Our wedding was by far the best day of our lives even in the midst of planning it in a pandemic. I wanted to share our how we made this day happen on a budget, without going into any debt as well as the amazing companies that made this day possible too!

Our wedding was at a lake house that our friend owned. We knew that we didn’t want to pay an outrageous amount of money to rent a space just so it can host people or look good in photos. Here is your first tip, prioritize where you want to put your money for your big day. For us, we know we loved this backyard on the water and it was by far the best decision!

Noah got ready in an outside tent area with the boys while I got ready in the house with the girls. Before we both got ready, Noah and I had some hands to help us finish up setting up for the big day. Even though we were doing things the morning of, we weren’t stressed as again, we valued other things and never felt the pressure to impress or stress.

CV Linens gifted us these napkins and table linens! Grab yours and use code KALEYD10!

Maggie Sottero was so kind to work with me on gifting my dream dress to me for the big day. I had in mind the fit I wanted but when I was give options I knew it was this one. Funny enough, Noah saw it online while I was scrolling one day and loved it. He had no idea that it was the dress I ended up loving and picking. Another favorite piece was the cape which we turned into my veil. I didn’t want a veil down the aisle so I had the cape, which originally goes over the chest, buttoned to the back of my dress. It was PERFECT. I fell in love. No one else has done this before with these 2 pieces. *Pictured below is not my dress but the cape I used for my veil!

Our wedding took place from 4pm-8pm and it was perfect. We catered in Mission BBQ, changed a few ingredients to accommodate food allergies, bought a massive cake from Publix for our guests, ordered a GF/Vegan cake for just Noah and I and had friends and family make some of my favorite healthy treats. We also had a boat hold the beer and wine for our guests to self serve. Everything we did, made or ordered was very us.

RIP guests cake that was never taken out to the guests haha. The other treats were all gone though.

THE CEREMONY

This ceremony was beyond special. The communion was my favorite.

The First Touch

Noah was so precious. I highly recommend this.
