You know those moments in your life where you think you have it all planned out and then all of a sudden you’re at a loss for words because it’s the complete opposite of what you had in mind? Ya, me too. In the last couple of months my life has completely flipped.

I’m talking jobs, relationships, opportunities, passions, you get the point. Out of the blue. I’m a planner so being caught off guard freaks me out. It’s all unknown but I’ve been here before. That’s what I know. I’ve had to trust Jesus over and over again to lead, to provide and to comfort in the midst of chaos. I thought I was on track. I really did. Instead, walls came down and barriers broke. I found myself. My eyes are less foggy. I see myself in a way different light now and because of that, the doors now opening are ones that I can say yes too. There are also a lot of doors that I wanted to open up but they’ve been closed all for the better. It may suck for .2 seconds but I promise you, He sees the bigger picture. Those words that have been spoken over me were ones that tried to manipulate me, control me or make me sad. They have no power anymore.
“You can’t.”
I can.
“You’re not pretty enough.”
Oh, I’ll listen to the truth, what God says.
“You’re not sick.”
It’s a good thing I don’t have anything to prove. 
If you asked me 2 years ago to map out my life it wouldn’t look like this at all. I mean, at all. There is a time for dreaming and all but there’s also a time of trusting that God, who loves you so much, has your back and has the greatest plans for your life. Despite what we think and how we feel, Jesus is constantly working on your behalf to protect you from things that aren’t yours but also he’s the giver of blessings. He wants to see you win.
This new journey to Miss FL USA is so much bigger than trying to WIN. I already have. No one can take your crown.  If you’re in the middle of a season that you didn’t expect, learn to love it. It’s molding you. 
Jesus is working on your behalf.
