“The One.”

From the moment where I understood what “crushing” or “liking” someone meant, I never got involved. Sure enough, I think someone is handsome and cool to be around but I honestly haven’t been to the point in my life where a guy was so evidently in love with Christ that he could be my husband one day. I’m not saying that men of God aren’t out there, because I fully know that they do exist. What I am saying is that, in today’s society we all get so comfortable in our own ways that we forget to share with the world what we believe in and who we truly are. I’m referring to our FAITH. Men of God do exist, and women of God do as well, but how many do you know display Jesus on a daily basis no matter their consequences or sacrifices that it takes them? I can’t count many. I strive to live an uncomfortable life with Jesus. I want Jesus and I to be on team but one team to where I am not settled. I want to be rattled, pushed over my limit, and out of my comfortable zone daily.

Now back to the topic about finding, “The One.” Ladies, why are you searching for something that you have no control over? Trust me, I get it. I have questioned myself on why I am almost 22, and still haven’t had a boyfriend. I pray constantly that God gives and takes away in my life things in my life that do and do not belong there. This includes people. Sure, it has been hard. I mean, c’mon no lady dreams of the day where she never gets married. I surely want a husband and family one day, but guess what? If we trust God fully with all of our heart, why can’t we add this topic to our list in trusting him with? There is no excuse for our selfish needs and desires to overpower what we think God should do. His timing and plan is far better than ours could ever be.

How is society portraying relationships and “love” these days? It sickens me greatly. Love today has become just another word to throw around to keep those hearts that are hurting in a safe zone. Guys will tell girls that they love them and vice versa for the ladies. What does that even mean to you? Love has become invisible and meshed with sex. Let’s get this straight, sex isn’t made for you to show someone that you like them, a lot. It’s also never made meant for a one night stand, or a dare. World, you’ve got it all wrong.

Guess what?

Sex is a Good Thing

What?

Sex is a good thing? Well, God created sex. He created man and woman to multiply his kingdom. Sex is a way for a husband and wife to express their love for one another. Yes, “husband and wife.” God did create sex to be a beautiful and enjoyable expression of love, but only between a man and wife.

Check this out:

Genesis 1: 27-28 – “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number;”

Genesis 2:24 – “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”

Proverbs 5:18-19 – “May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer — may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love.”

Song of Songs 7:6 – “How beautiful you are and how pleasing, O love, with your delights!”

1 Corinthians 6:13 – “The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.”

Ladies and gentlemen, hear me out when I say this. I am by no means judging your lifestyle. I fully understand that we all come from different places. All I want you to know is that you are loved by one heck of a father and his name is Jesus Christ. He calls the above things to be lived out with sex not because he doesn’t want you to have fun, it is because he cares for your heart more than any man or woman could ever do. If you have already had sex our of marriage, it is okay. LISTEN. God is a forgiving God and we have all fallen short of his glory. I sin too but something greater than sin is GRACE. His grace can cover all that we have done if we just let him.

Your body is a temple and I pray that you ladies protect it, care for it and most of all respect yourself because you are a daughter of the most high king.

For whoever is reading this, “I love you more than you know” – Jesus

xoxo,

Kale
